
The Dream Boat Contemporary Art Project involved creating a new working relationship between; school community, municipal government and services, private businesses including the gallery where the show was hosted.

The Dreamboat Contemporary Art Project was a community based work that involved the: Third Academy Lethbridge community and the larger community of Lethbridge as it was interconnected with the school and it's students. ( library, municipal government and so forth). The venue was the le petit trianon gallery in Lethbridge, Alberta. the exhibition combine my work as a professional artists and the work of community and students exhibiting in the same venue in one co-heasive statement.

Ceiling image was drawn on a role of brown paper with charcoal and graphite and then transferred as a print to the ceiling of the gallery. The shape has utility as it marks the linear layers the small components or boats that form the shape of the larger boat they inhabit. It is also a vaginal birthing shape. The tiny boats hung down from this fishing line, umbilical connection you see here. an apt choice of materials.
